EmploymentScape Is a Research Company—Not a Sales Company

Research That Changes the Lives of Our Clients

An Important Personal Video Message from the Founder of EmploymentScape
EmploymentScape fervently believes that research and its effective application is the most powerful force in everyone's life. Our goal is to bring the power of effective research into the lives of people everywhere. Historically, we have found that the most value for our research is in the career field. Here, we have changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world by showing them the opportunities available to them through effective research of the world's job openings—and more.

Collectively, our companies employ several hundred people throughout the world. In every single field we enter, we become the top company in our space within a span of one to two years. This happens regardless of the business we enter, and it occurs as if by natural law. Take a look at just a few of the incredibly successful ventures we've brought to life so far:
  • The largest job board in the world based on number of jobs (EmploymentCrossing)
  • The largest and most effective law firm placement agency for attorneys in the United States (BCG Attorney Search)
  • The largest outplacement firm for attorneys in the United States (Legal Authority)
  • The largest student loan company for attorneys in the United States (Law School Loans)
  • One of the top originators of student loan consolidations in the United States (EdFed)
  • The largest and most popular legal job board in the world (LawCrossing)
  • The largest attorney resume company in the world (Attorney Resume)
  • The largest search engine for jobs listed on employer websites (as opposed to all jobs) in the world (Hound.com)
And the list goes on and on.

Research has power, and research touches everyone and everything that comes in contact with it. EmploymentCrossing educates its clients with research and looks out for them. We believe that our role in the world serves a purpose that is far greater, and more profound, than that of a company that simply seeks to make money.

A Research Company—Not a Sales Company

We are not a sales organization. Consider:

  • We run extremely successful recruiting firms despite the fact that our recruiters do not recruit—and none have sales backgrounds.
  • We run numerous job boards despite the fact that we do not even have people in our companies who sell advertisements.
The way we operate is different. It confuses our competitors and invokes rage among those whose ambition is simply to make money—as fast as possible. We are motivated to provide research for (and protect) our clients. When people become our clients, we fight tenaciously to make a major difference in their lives by providing them the most effective and efficient research the market offers.

We Use Research to Protect Every Job Seeker with All Our Might

We believe that it is our responsibility to fervently and aggressively look after the needs of each one of our clients, and we are not afraid to use our research to show our clients what is possible in their lives—what they can achieve if they make the most of their education and prospects. For example, we have helped tens of thousands of our clients claim government student loan interest rate rebates through companies we have set up for this purpose. Collectively, we have saved our clients billions of dollars in interest. In the job-search field, we have touched hundreds of thousands of lives. We really want to make a difference.

Academic, fascinated by ideas, passionate about research and debate, orators, writers, and cutting-edge thinkers—the people who make up EmploymentScape are dedicated to providing their research to the world. EmploymentScape believes that informed research and analysis are the most important components of every important life decision—whether it is looking for a job, financing an education, or working in a particular profession or career.

A Company That Exists for the Individual—Not Big Business

We would be remiss if we did not bring up a final point: EmploymentScape exists for the individual. While EmploymentScape is counted as one of the largest organizations in the world, we are committed to serving the individual at all costs.
We have remained independent and have never taken private money.

We fight for the individuals who do not have access to a complete suite of information to make decisions about their careers and lives.

We have always served the individual and always will. We believe the force of many—whether rich or poor—is far more powerful than the force of a few. We want to be the company our clients can rely on at all stages of their careers.

A Message from Our Founder, Andrew Harrison Barnes ("Harrison")

Throughout my life I have seen a theme consistently express itself: research is power. I have seen this since my earliest days as a child, and the power of research has really changed my life and the lives of everyone I have come into contact with. Research can change your life too.

What to Do if You Are Alone Without Access to Information

Several years ago I heard a famous author speak. He spoke about how he went to Princeton and Harvard Business School and then made millions of dollars. Then he spoke about how his father was a coal miner who beat him and how he got a scholarship and gave all the money he made away to charity.
